The top image represents the strong presence of masculinity through out the films. It shows Marty Mcfly as the hero in all the films. Throughout the films, Marty is faced with challenges to save his fate in the future when he travels back in time. The roles of the women through out the films do not have significantly strong roles and could be seen as Marty's helpers to get him back to his right time era. The double standard for women is seen when it is them that are maintaining the household, are sexualized to be proactive in the films and that they adhere to the rules that the men set out. Because of the roles of the women it makes the presence of the male characters even stronger. The men throughout the films are the ones that are handling the machinery, driving the cars, the head of the household and are the ones that play the significant roles of the movies while on the other hand the women play lighter roles such as the mother, girlfriend, sister, waitress etc.

American Society in Different Eras
The trailer for the Back To Future trilogy demonstrates to the audience how society once was and how it could possibly be. Viewers can get an insight into how people lived during the Western era, how people made a living before all the technology started to be created, and who was in charge by who owned property, and the horses they rode. The audience can also get a gist of how life was changing in the 1950s with technological advancements such as the automobile, television and gender roles, with women allowed to go out to have fun in the town and so forth. The films also predict how society will turn out with the decisions that are made in the past and shows how technology will change the way of living for people in the future.

Men as the Stronger Role Model
The video clip shows men as the center of attention and that men have to fight for what they have and need and be dominant of the situation. While in the background the women play as the supporters for the men to achieve their goals. The clip demonstrates male dominance because they are the ones that are allowed to act unruly, drive the cars, and call the shots and are glorified when they win the battle against the enemy.

The American Society Fears the thought of Time Traveling
This original movie trailer for the 1985 science- fiction film Back to the Future: Part 1 depicts the potential fears of American society. In this film, Michael J. Fox plays Marty McFly who is in his final year of high school with no future set and no major goals. He wants to change his life for the better but never expected he would be able to time travel and change history. This is where you see the potential fear in American society, being able to time travel and change your past/future. If you could, everyone would go back and better there life, whether it was with items and money or with fame, but not everyone can be rich and famous. This is where society would have fear from changing your past in hopes to better your future.
